Description:

This calculator determines the volume of fluid, medicine or solution to be given to a patient for a manually regulated IV.

Notes:

IV stands for intravenous.
IV tubing comes in 10, 15 and 20 gtt/mL for macrodrop and 60 gtt/mL for microdrop factors.

Calculation Instructions:

Enter the drip rate and select the units.
Enter the time and select the units.
Enter the IV tubing calibration and select the units.

Inputs:

Time	time	hour minute	This is the infusion time. The duration or time the IV is to be administered.
Drip Rate or Watch Count	drops per minute	gtt/minute	The number of drops per minute to be administered.
Calibration	drop factor	gtt/milliliter	The number of drops needed to deliver 1 milliliter of fluid.
